As the Procurement Manager, you will play a critical role in managing procurement processes across both direct and indirect categories. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure the organization’s procurement needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively. You will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with our organizational goals, and lead a team of buyers in optimizing procurement performance.

Tasks

  • Identify Procurement Needs: Assess and understand the procurement needs across the organization for raw materials, goods, and services.
  • Direct Procurement Management: Oversee purchasing of raw materials and resources for the production of goods.
  • Indirect Procurement: Manage the procurement of goods, services, supplies, and materials for daily operations.
  • RFQ Management: Develop and manage RFQs, as well as oversee competitive bidding cycles.
  • Budget and Strategy Management: Lead procurement budgeting, develop strategies, and manage payment processes.
  • Cost-effective Procurement: Design and implement procurement policies and strategies that drive cost reductions while ensuring quality.
  • Procure-to-Pay Process: Manage the entire procure-to-pay process, including requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, and payments.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Source and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with suppliers and handle any disputes.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance to ensure goods and services are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Forecasting: Predict future demand for goods and services and plan purchases accordingly.
  • Collaboration with Internal Departments: Work cross-functionally with other teams to meet organizational procurement requirements.
  • Purchase Approval: Review and approve purchase requests and orders.
  • Cost Reduction: Track key procurement metrics and KPIs to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
