Do you have solid experience in the field of transportation and logistics? Are you someone with strong communication and negotiation skills? Our client, a long-standing company in the agricultural products and services sector, is seeking a Transportation and Logistics Agent for its head office located in Baie-du-Febvre. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with internal and external clients, negotiating with suppliers, and tracking product movements to ensure smooth operations.

Tasks

  • Communicate with internal and external clients.
  • Manage orders.
  • Monitor transportation and product movements.
  • Ensure product availability by analyzing and optimizing transportation and logistics operations.
  • Communicate with suppliers in collaboration with internal teams (sales, purchasing, transportation & logistics).
  • Manage purchase and sales contracts.
  • Verify the accuracy of information and ensure billing follow-up.
  • Apply corrections to documentation when necessary.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy according to recorded data.
  • Prepare reports and ensure data entry.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • High school diploma (mandatory).
  • DEP or DEC in transportation and logistics or procurement (strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of the agricultural sector (asset).
  • Bilingual (asset).
  • Strong knowledge of operations optimization.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position related to transportation and logistics.
  • Excellent knowledge of Quebec geography.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel (intermediate-advanced).
