Our client, located in Laval, is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician. The role will involve ensuring that production operations meet product and process quality standards, while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. He/she will play a key role in continuous improvement and maintaining the company’s high standards. Our business partner, a company specializing in infant nutrition, offers tailored solutions under private labels and positions itself as a key player in the development of food products for young children.

Tasks

  • Perform quality analyses on food products.
  • Collect samples of finished products as needed.
  • Control and validate raw materials.
  • Record and archive results according to procedures.
  • Conduct Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections in production.
  • Perform environmental sampling at regular intervals.
  • Monitor non-conformities, manage discrepancies, and quarantine affected products.
  • Train new employees during their onboarding.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections.
  • Verify Critical Control Points (CCP).
  • Conduct sensory tests on ingredients, intermediate products, and finished goods.
  • Perform other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in quality control in the food or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • A college diploma (DEC) in food sciences or a related field is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Advanced proficiency in English (for writing documents in English and conducting daily exchanges 50% of the time).
