Tasks

  • Prepare financial statements by completing the full accounting cycle: entering daily journal entries, bank reconciliations, trial balance, and month-end journal.
  • Process payroll on Nethris for approximately 30 to 40 Canadian employees every two weeks.
  • Produce T4 slips in compliance with tax requirements.
  • Manage group insurance and sick leave files, including CNESST (Quebec workers' compensation).
  • Administer employee attendance mutual benefits.
  • Partially manage accounts payable.
  • Fully manage accounts receivable, including collecting customer payments and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • DEC in accounting or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent knowledge of French, both spoken and written.
  • Functional English used approximately 10% of the time for some communications.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of Nethris, Sage50, Omni software (an asset).
