Our partner, specialized in the marketing, leasing, maintenance, and refurbishment of forklifts, is currently looking for an accounting technician to join their team. As an accounting technician, you will be at the heart of the company's financial operations. You will be responsible for managing general and analytical accounting, handling finances, and ensuring the company’s sustainable growth and profitability. You will have the opportunity to oversee progressive changes that will shape the company's future, ensuring continuous improvement. Tasks

  • Contact clients for accounts receivable follow-up.
  • Resolve issues related to client and supplier invoices.
  • Perform general and analytical accounting, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax standards.
  • Manage daily accounting, administrative, and financial operations.
  • Manage cash flow, discrepancies, and risks.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping for the company.
  • Oversee payroll management for about twenty employees.
  • Manage client accounts and follow up on payments.
  • Handle office supplies and ensure their replenishment.
  • Supervise accounts payable, particularly for transportation (Dicom, Purolator, etc.).
  • Maintain bookkeeping and produce required government reports.
  • Coordinate the management of technicians' vehicles (registrations, maintenance appointments, etc.).
  • Manage communication systems, including landline and mobile phones for technicians.
  • Participate in organizing occasional festive events (e.g., Christmas).
  • Perform any other tasks required for the position.

Job requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting in a similar role.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a role that requires communication with clients or suppliers.
  • High school diploma.
  • DEP, DEC, or Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Bilingualism is essential (communications with English-speaking suppliers and clients, 50% of communications in English at an intermediate level).
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of the Avantages software.
  • Ability to use an ERP system.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or distribution sector (significant asset).
