Our client, located in Boucherville, is a friendly company that has been operating since 1975 and is experiencing significant growth in the communications and radiofrequency sector. They are currently seeking a Conventional Machinist to join their expanding team.
This position involves manufacturing, welding (MIG-TIG), assembling, and repairing mechanical parts, equipment, spare parts, and components for antennas, filters, and more, using manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
Tasks
Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and diagrams.
Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and measure elements for welding and machining.
Evaluate the quality of completed welds (visual appearance, uniformity, absence of visible defects) and perform dimensional and visual inspections.
Operate mechanical tools and machines, such as lathes, milling machines, and horizontal mills.
Produce parts, components, and tools according to specifications.
Perform machining tasks, including turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.
Maintain and repair machines, tools, and parts used in production.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
Experience as a conventional machinist and in TIG/MIG welding.
Experience assembling and machining complex mechanical parts using machine tools.
Experience in repairing, assembling, and disassembling antennas and accessories in the telecommunications sector (an asset).
Proficiency in sawing, turning, milling, drilling, planing, and grinding.
Experience in fabricating and repairing antennas and complex parts (an asset).
Proficiency with metrology tools and machining centers.
Strong ability to read and understand technical plans and drawings.
Solid welding expertise.
Relevant diploma or experience, such as:
o Diploma in Machining Techniques (an asset).
o Diploma in Specialized Mechanical Fabrication (an asset).
